Discover the Charm of Acacia Honey
At More Than Honey, we have a real soft spot for acacia honey. It’s a type of blossom honey made by bees from the nectar of the black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia). The vast majority of Czech acacia honeys – including this one – come from South Moravia, where acacia trees are abundant.
Acacia blossom honey is truly unique and highly prized in the beekeeping world for several reasons. One of them is its unusually light golden colour. Open the jar and you’ll find another pleasant surprise – its fragrance is delicate and floral. The flavour follows suit: sweet, smooth, and wonderfully gentle.

Acacia Honey and Its Excellent Nutritional Benefits
If you’ve ever had the pleasure of tasting acacia honey, you’ll know that it’s beautifully liquid. Unlike many other blossom honeys, it contains a higher proportion of fructose than glucose. This higher fructose content reduces its tendency to crystallise, meaning acacia honey stays smooth and runny for a long time – which is also why you’ll find it in our Honey Bean tubes.
Another great feature of acacia honey is its low glycaemic index. In other words, it doesn’t cause sharp spikes in blood sugar levels. The energy from acacia honey is released gradually, providing strength and vitality over time.
